Physically Challenged Youth Programme

In most deprived communities, many people have lost their humanity dignity because they are either physically or mentally challenged. In some communities, these people have been neglected by their families and society at large, due to stigmatisation and the burden that their care imposes on their immediate families. Where some support is provided for these individuals and their families, it is often too small and irregular to survive on.

As a foundation, our project on physically and mentally challenged youth seeks to expand opportunities that will restore the dignity and hope of these persons and reintegrate them to their families and community at large. To this end, we have commenced some work with the Tamale School for the Disabled. In order to ensure proper execution, we have decided to implement our programmes in phases. This is in line with our belief that if something is worth doing, then it is worth doing well even if it seems small and insignificant at the beginning.
