About Us

Our History

Brooks Dreams Foundation (BDF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that provides a platform for women and youth, especially the girl-child to unearth and develop themselves to achieve their greatest potential.

BDF was established in 2007 and has given opportunity to young individuals especially girls, to develop their skills through mentorship programmes, on the job training, healthcare programmes and other related activities. BDF focuses on three thematic areas mainly education, livelihood and health.

“It is my personal journey and responsibility to encourage other people to do same, especially those who have experienced challenging beginnings and have made it in life, to give a little back and pull others along” – Memuna Kaleem, Founder

Our Programs

Discover the heartbeat of BDF through OUR programs—a symphony of purpose and impact. Each initiative is meticulously crafted to catalyze meaningful change.

From education that empowers to health initiatives that nurture, our programs are the threads weaving a tapestry of positive transformation. Join us in this journey of impact as we turn aspirations into reality, one program at a time.

Brooks Dreams Foundation Skills Training Centre

The BDF Skills Training Centre is a fully accredited Technical, Vocational and Educational Training (TVET) institution located in Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. The centre was established in 2016 to equip the less privileged and disadvantaged youth in Northern Ghana, most of whom were school dropouts, with the necessary technical, vocational and professional skills needed in the market place, to bridge the socio-economic gap that exists between the North and other parts of the country.

Equipped with ultra-modern facilities and well-trained teachers, the centre acts as a crucible in northern Ghana for spawning a new generation of entrepreneurs and skilled workforce, towards a sustainable industrialization and financial empowerment of the North.
